Frequently Asked Questions

Care of the pot

I use matt glazes or textured glazes for my pots. Unlike traditional shiny glazes, matt glazes will stain over time. Be mindful when using any strongly staining foods or liquids with them. It helps to wash them quickly after use, and if you can, don’t leave liquid in them overnight or for long periods of time. If it does get stained, use a spoonful of cup clean powder like Astonish to clean it.

These pots are dishwasher safe, but washing by hand is the best option. I personally always hand wash my handmade pottery and tend not to use them in microwaves.

Sustainability

A large solar panel system was installed to make the firing more eco-friendly. Raw materials like clay and minerals for the glaze are sourced locally. All packing materials are either made of paper or biodegradable.

Uniqueness of individual pot

All of my pots are handmade, subtle differences are expected from item to item.

Shipping

I aim to post all the orders within 2 working days, once the orders are dispatched you will receive an email with tracking numbers. For the estimated delivery time please see shipping for more detail.

Returns

Returns are only accepted if the wrong items were accidentally shipped. If this does occur, please get in touch and I will do my best to ensure you are happy with replacements or refunds.

Due to their matt nature, I cannot refund or exchange them if the pots have been used.

Studio visiting

Studio visits are possible, If you are a fellow potter who wants to have a tour of my studio or a customer who wants to check out my pots or collect your orders, please contact me via email or ins to arrange this. I do normally have stocks available at my studio including special items (especially vases) that might not yet be available on my website.
